Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Learning and Development Specialist to join our IT department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing training programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees. This role requires a strong understanding of instructional design and the ability to align learning initiatives with organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Training Program Development:

  • Design and develop engaging learning programs tailored to meet the needs of various IT roles, including technical and non-technical staff.
  • Conduct needs assessments to identify skills gaps and training requirements within the organization.

Instructional Design:

  • Create and implement instructional materials, including eLearning modules, training manuals, and job aids.
  • Utilize instructional design methodologies to ensure effective knowledge transfer.

Learning Management System (LMS) Administration:

  • Manage and maintain the Learning Management System, ensuring all training materials are updated and accessible.
  • Track training participation and evaluate training effectiveness through assessments and feedback.

Collaboration and Facilitation:

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to deliver technical training and workshops.
  • Facilitate training sessions and workshops, ensuring a positive learning environment.

Evaluation and Reporting:

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements based on feedback and performance metrics.
  • Prepare reports on training outcomes and present findings to management.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on the latest trends in learning and development, instructional design, and technology in training.
  • Recommend and implement innovative learning solutions to enhance employee engagement and learning outcomes.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
  • Proficiency in eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate) and Learning Management Systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate learners.
